Asif Arif Named to the 2027 Super Lawyers Rising Stars List — Immigration Law
Arif Law Offices, P.C. is proud to announce that Asif Arif has been selected to the 2027 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in the field of Immigration Law, a peer-reviewed distinction awarded to a small fraction of attorneys statewide.
This recognition is not something an attorney can request, purchase, or apply for directly. It comes out of a structured, peer-driven evaluation process, and we’re glad to share what the honor involves and why it’s relevant to the clients we represent in U.S. and cross-border immigration matters.
What the Rising Stars Distinction Represents
Super Lawyers rates attorneys across dozens of practice areas in every state, each year, through an independent research and peer-nomination process. The Rising Stars list specifically recognizes attorneys age 40 or younger, or with ten years or less in practice, who stand out among their peers within that group.
How Attorneys Are Selected
The selection process is designed so that a listing reflects standing among other lawyers, not marketing spend:
- Peer nominations from attorneys who have worked opposite, alongside, or in front of the candidate.
- Independent verification of credentials, standing, and disciplinary history.
- Scoring across 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer regard.
- Final review before publication in Super Lawyers’ state and regional editions.
Self-nomination isn’t part of the process, and campaigning for votes can disqualify a candidate — which is part of why the list carries weight within the profession.
Why It Matters for Immigration Clients
For individuals and families navigating U.S. immigration cases — from employment-based petitions to investor visas and family-based matters — the choice of counsel often rests on trust established before a case ever begins. A peer-reviewed distinction in the immigration practice area is one additional signal of how an attorney’s work is viewed by others in the field, separate from advertising.
It is not a substitute for a conversation about your specific case, but it reflects the standard our office aims to uphold.
Looking Ahead
Selection is made fresh each year, and this year’s list does not carry forward automatically. Our office will continue the work behind this recognition — building thorough, well-prepared filings for every client, whether the matter involves a visa petition, a green card process, or a complex immigration case.
